Crescent Spur wildfire prompts evacuation alert

This area near Crescent Spur is under an evacuation alert due to an interface wildfire that was reported to the BC Wildfire Service on Friday.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has issued an evacuation alert due to an active interface wildfire about 165 kilometres east of Prince George. 

The fire, estimated at 150 hectares, is in Area H in the Prospect Road vicinity.

Conditions can change rapidly and residents in the area are being warned to prepare to leave on short notice.

Prepare a 72-hour evacuation kit with food and water and other necessities such as personal medication and gather important documents in case an evacuation becomes necessary.

Make arrangements to have pets moved to a safe location and have a food supply for pets handy in case you have to leave suddenly. If you have livestock, make arrangements to have them moved to a safer location.
