A Burns Lake mother and son were the two people killed Friday when their sport utility vehicle collided with a flatbed truck on Highway 16 West.
They were Akiko Hofer, 46, and Pierce Hofer, 17, the B.C. Coroners Service said Tuesday.
Both died at the scene of the crash which occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. about 30 kilometres west of Prince George and one kilometre east of West Telachick Road
Road conditions were icy at the time, the Coroners Service said.
