B.C. Premier John Horgan.

John Horgan will be speaking directly to British Columbians tonight (March 31).

Yesterday (March 30), the Premier announced he will be giving a province-wide address to update citizens on B.C.’s response to COVID-19.

He will be giving the address at 6:15 p.m. tonight.

PrinceGeorgeMatters will be live streaming Horgan’s speech on our Facebook Page.

On March 26, Horgan and Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General Mike Farnworth announced measures to ban the secondary resale of food, medical supplies, personal protective equipment, cleaning and other essential supplies.

They also set up a new supply chain team to control the distribution and sale of products.

On March 25, Horgan announced a rent freeze and moratoriums on evictions, and rental supplements for those struggling during the COVID-19 crisis.

Previously on March 17, Horgan announced the indefinite suspension of in-class learning for schools throughout the province.

Of the address slated for tonight, Horgan has said it will be to update the public on how the province is working to deliver help to people and businesses in this unprecedented time.
