Alleged serial killer Cody Alan Legebokoff is scheduled to make a court appearance this afternoon.

Legebokoff, 21, faces four charges of first degree murder in the deaths of Jill Stacey Stuchenko, 35, Cynthia Frances Maas, 35, Loren Donn Leslie, 15, and the disappearance of Natasha Lynn Montgomery, 23.

During an hearing Oct. 31, B.C. Supreme Court Justice Glen Parrett said he may impose a ban on publication on any information disclosed to the court until heard by a jury to ensure Legebokoff receives a fair trial.

Crown prosecutor Lara Vizsolyi has estimated the trial, in which all four cases will be heard, will take six months to a year to carry out and had no estimate of when the proceeding would begin.

Along with Vizsolyi, two other Crown proescutors are handling the case - Joseph Temple and Deborah Larsen.

Legebokoff is being represented by Jim Heller and Jeremy Fung.

Today's hearing is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Prince George courthouse.
