The Prince George Council of Seniors (PGCOS) is moving their office from 1055 Fifth Avenue to 721 Victoria St.
The office is now closed and the new office will open Monday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but services like Meals on Wheels will not be interrupted.
PGCOS was formed in 1990 by a group of seniors who believed there was social benefits in group advocacy.
The socieety was originally housed in an office within the P.G. & District Seniors Activity Centre at 425 Brunswick St.
The council has been at the Fifth Avenue location since 2005.
The advocacy group will remain the same, but the sign on the office will say Seniors Resource Centre and it will provide information and referrals to community services and programs.
The PGCOS is a non-profit society that operates using grants and donations.
The new location, at the corner of Victoria and Seventh Avenue, improves the PGCOS visibility and access.
Regular programs, like beginner computer classes and income tax clinics will start again shortly.
There will be a grand opening of the offices within the next month.
