Council will sit down for a special meeting this afternoon to make a minor fix an application to convert a 12th Avenue home into a doctor's office.
Notice of the special council meeting, today at 12:15 in council chambers, was posted Wednesday.
An error in the proposed bylaw's reference to the city's financial plan prompted staff to pull the application from the Feb. 3 council meeting where it was to be put before a public hearing.
Council will be asked to rescind the second reading given Dec. 2 and approve a new one, with the correction made.
The application will then be put back on track for a public hearing, but it won't happen during next week's regularly scheduled meeting, said planning supervisor Tiina Watt.
"Feb. 24 is not going to work for notification requirements," she said, noting the earliest could be the March 10 council meeting.
A local urologist is looking to rezone and amend the official community plan for the property fronting Lethbridge Street. Area residents have raised concerns over the potential impacts to the character of the Crescents neighbourhood, traffic volume and parking compications.
