A former city communications manager is the Prince George Chamber of Commerce's new chief executive officer.
Todd Corrigall took on the role Monday, replacing Erika Ewacha, who stepped down at the end of November after five months on the job.
Corrigall was the city's communication manager for six months, leaving in January 2015, the same month chief administrative officer Beth James departed following the election of the current city council.
"I am excited to return to Prince George and join the Chamber team," Corrigall said in a statement. "I look forward to connecting with our members, garnering a greater understanding and appreciation for their needs."
Corrigall possesses a "robust" background in communications, leadership, policy development and government relations, according to the chamber. He's worked for two municipalities, as well as technology organizations, small business, not-for-profits and broadcasters.
He's also worked as a consultant on community and partner engagement, strategic planning and communications, media relations and corporate giving, the chamber said.
"I am confident that Todd will excel in the role and that while the selection process was onerous, I feel the board has been able to add value to the membership by extending the offer," chamber president Corey Naphtali said in the statement.
