Volunteers form Citizens on Patrol are adding some extra eyes to the search for speeding drivers this week.
They're putting up speed boards at high crash locations to show motorists how fast they're going and those who ignore the display and exceed the posted speed limit could find a warning letter in the mail if they're not pulled over by the RCMP.
The letter outlines the infractions observed and the fine amount surrounding these infractions.
Those interested in joining Citizens on Patrol can drop by the community policing office at the Prince George RCMP detachment, 455 Victoria St. or call 250-561-3366.
"Assisting the RCMP and ICBC by providing educational enforcement on high risk driving is just one of many rewarding tasks we do in the community policing unit", said Citizens on Patrol program coordinator Mike Burt.
