The City of Prince George will open Connaught Hill Park on Thursday for vehicle access.
The gate will be open from April through August from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and September through October from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The downtown park, a remnant hill left from ancient glacial activity, never closes to pedestrian visitors. In recent years it has been popular in winter as the site of the Northern Lights Festival in December.
The park is popular in warmer months for its views of the city, flowers, lawns, parking areas and convenient proximity to downtown.
