It’s planting season and sales of NorGrow Compost have resumed at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill this week.
NorGrow compost is produced at the landfill from yard and garden waste dropped off by area residents. It’s produced following the Provincial Organic Matter Recycling Regulation and is classified as a Class A compost.
The compost contains no biosolids (residue from municipal wastewater treatment plants), and provides your soil with a boost of organic matter.
District staff will load compost into your vehicle or trailer between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays. For more information, go online to the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George website.
