Drivers heading north on Highway 97 will be contending with compact snow, according to a DriveBC bulletin.
It says the condition covers 115 kilometres of the highway, from 22 kilometres north of the city to 15 kilometres north of McLeod Lake.
A similar warning is in effected for the road into Mackenzie as snow continued to fall in the region.
In a separate notice, Environment Canada said 10-15 centimetres of snow is forecast to fall on the Pine Pass with heavy snow to taper off by Wednesday morning.
"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," the service says.
