A school bus carrying students was involved in a crash on Wednesday morning.

The collision was reported at 8:20 a.m. and there were no injuries reported as of 10:15 a.m., Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in an email.

The collision temporarily closed the eastbound lanes of Fifth Avenue, just east of the intersection with Stuart Drive, on Wednesday morning. The scene had been cleared by roughly 9 a.m., Cooper said.

Samuel Dean, Diversified Transportation Ltd. general manager for B.C., said the bus was carrying students from French-language School District 93, which operates Ecole Franco-Nord elementary school and French-language programs at Duchess Park Secondary School. The students and driver were all uninjured, he said.

"It was one of our buses. It was stopped at the crosswalk when it was rear-ended," Dean said. "All the kids are good. We should be back to normal this afternoon."

Dean did not disclose which route the bus was serving, but said all the parents of the students involved were notified Wednesday morning.
