The Prince George RCMP continue to investigate a serious collision that occurred earlier this afternoon.
At just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, emergency services were called to the scene of a collision between an SUV and a city bus on Highway 97 about half a kilometre north of the John Hart Bridge.
The single occupant of the vehicle was transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC with serious and life threatening injuries. The bus driver was the only occupant of the bus and was not seriously injured.
This portion of Highway 97 will be closed for at least a few hours. Northbound traffic is urged to take Foothills Boulevard or the on-ramp to Highway 97 off of the Cameron Street Bridge. South bound traffic must take Foothills Boulevard.
