The Innovation Central Society (ICS) is hosting a business-to-business relationship event, and because the goal is fostering new collaborations and innovations it will be held in the newly opened space dedicated to that kind of creation.
MakerLab at the Two Rivers Art Gallery is part studio, part office, part community development centre. It exists to get creative people collaborating over marketable projects. The space will host the event Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
"Representatives from business, government and academia will share information and help entrepreneurs discover potential partners, facilities, funding sources and experts available that can be utilized to grow businesses from innovation to commercialization," said ICS executive director Ernest Daddey. "This event will provide the opportunity to meet new business colleagues and representatives from UNBC, CNC, and ICS to discuss B2B ideas, opportunities and challenges."
The event is open for anyone wanting to improve their business position, learn from other entrepreneurs, be inspired by business possibilities, and meet others who might be able to help in ways large or small.
There is no charge to attend, but preregistration is mandatory and space is limited. Contact Daddey for more information ([email protected] or 250-562-9622 ext. 108) and drop in to the Two Rivers Art Gallery to see the MakerLab. It has public drop-in creation sessions every Thursday evening.
