CNC starts up annual scrub drive sale

The College of New Caledonia is calling health professionals of every stripe to cull their closets of scrubs. Spring cleaning isn't only for your homes. Scrub drive donors can bring their "gently used uniforms" for a good cause.

The College of New Caledonia is calling health professionals of every stripe to cull their closets of scrubs.

Spring cleaning isn't only for your homes.

Scrub drive donors can bring their "gently used uniforms" for a good cause. All proceeds raised will go toward CNC's Making a Difference Bursary.

"Reduce, reuse, recycle, and support the next generation of health sciences students by donating those scrubs in your closet," CNC nursing instructor Nancy Esopenko, who organizes the annual drive.

CNC asks that scrubs be washed, in good shape and recyclable for others to use.

Send those scrubs in from March 3 to 15 at any of the following: CNC library, Lakewood Dental, or the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office at the University Hospital of Northern BC.

Students - and the public - can by the tops and bottoms for $5 each on March 14 at CNC Gathering Place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Since 2011, each year CNC has handed out $250 bursaries to five CNC health sciences students in financial need.
