Bradley Charles Joyce, 35, of Calgary died Monday in an climbing accident on Mount Robson, the B.C. Coroners Service said Tuesday.
Joyce was described as an experienced mountaineer who was climbing with a friend on the back side of Mount Robson.
A snow bridge, which he was crossing, gave way, and Joyce fell into a crevasse where he was
covered by a small avalanche, the Coroners Service said.
The fatality occurred five days after Rick Collier, 71, also of Calgary died on Mount Geikie in Mount Robson Provincial Park.
Collier was leading a pack of climbers when a rock face gave way and at least two climbers fell, including Collier who plunged to his death, the Coroners Service said.
