Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Prince George, Cariboo and 100 Mile House areas on Monday morning.
Conditions were favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening, the Environment Canada statement said. The storms could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
