The 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships are coming to Prince George, it was announced Friday morning.
The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club at Otway will host about 140 athletes from more than 20 countries competing in para cross-country skiing and biathlon events in February 2019.
This is the first time Prince George has ever hosted a world championship sporting event, according to a City of Prince George news release.
