The city will receive $506,602 in the latest instalment of traffic fine revenue from the provincial government while the Fraser-Fort George Regional District will get a $49,141 small communities grant.
In all $38.6 million will be distributed to 188 local governments through the two funding sources and is the third installment of a total $227 million since 2009. A first installment of $133 million was paid to communities in March 2009 and a second installment of $55.5 million was paid in September 2009.
The provincial government announced the grants Friday.
