Prince George Citizen reporter Christine Hinzmann won second place in the Arts and Culture Writing Award category of the Ma Murray Awards on Sunday.
The B.C. and Yukon Community Newspapers Association's annual awards recognize excellence in community journalism.
Hinzmann's submitted feature, Behind the curtains, went behind the scenes at CN Centre to shine the spotlight on the staff who host and coordinate concerts and events at the facility.
Reporter Natalie North, of the Saanich News, took first place in the category.
