A locally-owned Prince George company is the first chrome-plating outfit in Canada to comply with new clean-air regulations.
Cariboo Chrome, which employs 18 people at its shop on South Ogilivie, has passed the federal environmental certification process with regards to hexavalent chromium compounds being expelled into the air. As of July 2009, the emissions are limited to 0.3 parts per million.
