Business MVPs had their opportunity to take centre ice Thursday afternoon with the unveiling of the shortlist of the 2014 Business Excellence Award nominees.
This year, there are 44 finalists in 11 categories up for recognition by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.
Finalists will participate in the Hockey Night in Prince George-themed gala event held at the Civic Centre on Oct. 25.
Voting is conducted by chamber members until Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. for 10 categories. The final category is the new-this-year Hell Yeah Prince George ambassador award. Voting for that prize will only be conducted online through its namesake Facebook page, until moments before the award is handed out.
Tickets for the awards gala, which will feature Kirk McLean and Gery Schubert as Don Cherry, are now on sale online at pgchamber.chambermaster.com for $95.
