The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 100 years of advocacy with a street trade show tomorrow.
As part of their Centennial Anniversary Celebration Open House, the group is shutting down the street to traffic in front of their office at 890 Vancouver St. and highlighting member products and services.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the public is invited to meet directly with 31 Chamber member businesses. Visitors can browse tables with goods for sale, product samples, displays and pick up brochures from members such as the Academy of Learning, Hometech Energy Solutions Inc., Canadian Diabetes Association, Prince George Citizen, KDB Photography, Prince George Cougars, The Northern Star, SendOutCards and MarketBuzz Business Solutions.
Other activities will include a barbecue lunch provided by the Yellowhead Rotary, an exhibition of Chamber memorabilia by the Exploration Place and Museum, an opportunity to to purchase one of the last issued Spruce Dollars (specially produced for the Chamber centennial) and enjoy free birthday cake.
The street party is weather permitting, and will not take place in the event of rain.
The Chamber of Commerce has more than 850 members and works to connect he business community for mutual benefit, engage and lobby the government on behalf of member's interests and enhance the ability of local businesses to thrive.
