The city's community radio station is flipping burgers for those who flip to their channel.
CFIS 93.1-FM, based at Studio 2880, is hosting a barbecue from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29.
As a volunteer-based organization, even the barbecue must be organized on the generosity of the community. Station administrators are calling on entertainers with some spare time to bring out their instruments and juggling balls and other props to spice up the affair.
Meat, buns, beverages and other barbecue treats are also required. Donations of these items are appreciated.
"The Society is committed to the promotion of local sports, cultural, community, and not-for-profit society events and programs, to increase awareness and education," said the organizers. "With continued promotion, the society will help contribute to the success of local groups and instill a greater sense of community pride throughout Prince George."
