The proper techniques for installing a child safety seat will be taught at one-on-one sessions in Prince George next week.
Each session is about 20 minutes. That is all it takes, according to the BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation instructors who explain the steps and answer any questions a parent may have, or any driver who might have a child in their vehicle.
"In B.C. all drivers are responsible for transporting all children in secure, age- and weight-appropriate child car seats until their ninth birthday or four-foot-nine in height," said foundation spokesperson Lennea Durant.
BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation's child seat awareness tour of B.C. comes to Prince George on Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the downtown fire hall (1111 7th Ave.) beside City Hall. To register your appointment call 250-649-2399.
