Parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to get expert advice on whether the children's car seats in their vehicles are up to safe standards.

On Saturday, January 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. trained child passenger safety educators from Prince George RCMP and Prince George Fire Rescue will be on hand to offer advice and assistance.

"This is also a good opportunity to find out if you are using the right car seat for the age, weight and height of your child, or to ask any questions you have about car seat safety," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.

Those interested will need to book an appointment ahead of time by calling Prince George RCMP community policing office at 250-561-3366, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
