With its usual positive attitude the Handy Circle Resource Society holds the 19th annual CanDo event that is free for those people with disabilities and special needs Saturday, May 28 at the College of New Caledonia.
"We have bingo games and door prizes and we're going to spin the wheel for prizes again this year," said Lorraine Young, programs manager at Handy Circle that provides and promotes public awareness for the needs of those with disabilities. "There's music, there's karaoke and dancing and it's just a fun night. It's such a blast."
There's room for up to 250 people to attend and most years there's about 200 who participate, added Young.
Tickets are available at the Handy Circle office at 490 Quebec St., but the easiest way is to call for tickets and people can get them at the event that's held in the cafeteria at the college, with doors open at 4 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m.
To register for the event call 250-563-1852.
To book a ride for the event call the Carefree Transportation Society at 250-562-1394.
