With Canada Post employees on the picket lines during rotating strikes across the country — including Prince George — Elections B.C. says at this time, voting packages and mailing of ballots haven't been impacted.
In an email to PrinceGeorgeMatters, Elections B.C. spokesperson Rebecca Penz says should there be any complications for the proportional representation referendum from Canada Post striking, issues will be addressed when they occur.
"The chief elections officer has the authority to extend (the) deadline and will consider doing so if the strike affects how much time voters have to request a package or to return the completed voting package to Elections B.C. by 4:30 p.m.," reads the email.
Penz adds registered voters in Prince George should have received voting packages by now.
The deadline to send your ballot in is Nov. 30.
