The Canada Day light show is on for the next five years.
After a four-year absence, Prince George residents enjoyed a July 1 fireworks display from the top of Connaught Hill Park this year, thanks to a $10,000 contribution from Canfor.
The forest products company has agreed to support the annual display through 2018.
"Canfor was proud to sponsor the Canada Day fireworks as part of our community 75th anniversary," said Canfor president and CEO Don Kayne. "We were so impressed by the response of the community of Prince George to the return of the fireworks celebration and we are pleased to sign on as the presenting sponsor for the next five years."
