Northern Health wants to see people eating well and living a healthy lifestyle and is offering prizes to the best photos which capture those themes in action.
The Picture You Healthy contest launched Monday on the health authority's blog and will continue throughout March. Each week this month Northern Health will reveal new categories under the headings of healthy eating, active living and healthy communities and ask participants to snap shots to illustrate those words.
Weekly prizes will include fitness equipment, cookbook packages and canning kits. The grand prize to be awarded at the end of the month is a Canon Powershot camera valued at over $400.
For the first week the themes are: Healthy eating supports healthy individuals, families and communities; Every move counts; and When people make healthy choices, we know they will live longer, healthier lives.
