Prince George residents can expect to wake up to a bit more snow this morning, although nowhere near the deluge that struck earlier this week.
After roughly 12 cm descended on the city by Tuesday morning, a further 5 cm is expected to have fallen with snowfall continuing until noon.
Ice pellets and freezing rain may also be in the mix depending on how things break, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Greg Pearce.
"We're not confident that we're going to get any freezing rain but it's a slight chance right now," Pearce said Tuesday afternoon. "Most of the warmer air is kind of south of Prince George and west of Prince George and that's where we've had these reports of ice pellets and freezing rain."
A "quiet period" is then expected for the next couple of days with highs around -7 C and lows around -10 C. More snow could fall on Saturday.
