The water was back on at Caledonia Mobile Home Park Tuesday, ending a five-day ordeal
that left 40 homes dry.
Water was shut off at the North Nechako Road park Friday afternoon and subsequent attempts to fix the problem had been shut down by WorkSafeBC Sunday night.
An approximately six-foot deep hole had been dug behind one home in the park to reach a broken pipe. Before the 72-hour stop-work order was issued, there were no supports in place nor was an engineer consulted, both of which are required for an excavation of that size and proximity to a structure.
