A taxi driver was hospitalized with serious cut wounds to his hand after a struggle with an armed robber early Monday morning.The attack took place at the Petro-Canada gas station at 20th Avenue and Upland Street.

An unidentified suspect armed with a knife demanded money from the 56-year-old male taxi driver.Police are looking for a Caucasian man approximately 30 to 40 years old, approximately five foot 11 and 220 pounds.The suspect had an unshaven face and was wearing a green T-shirt, designer jeans and a white running shoes with a black pattern and toe cap.The suspect is believed to be carrying a knife and should not be approached by members of the public.No further details were available as of press time, but anyone with information about this crime or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.Calls can be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca.
