Burns Lake teacher Jim Iker is the new first vice-president of the B.C. Teachers' Federation.
Ikert was elected to the post for a one-year term Tuesday during the BCTF convention.
Susan Lambert, a teacher-librarian from Burnaby who most recently served as first vice-president , was elected president, replacing Irene Lanzinger who stepped down after three years.
Glen Hansman of Vancouver is the new second vice-president. All three were elected to one-year terms.
Four other teachers were elected to the BCTF Executive Committee as members-at-large: Rick Guenther (Abbotsford), Denise Moffatt (Surrey), Kip Wood (Nanaimo), and David Komljenovic (Kamloops).
