A case for making Willow River the home of a new elementary school to replace the now-closed facility in Giscome was made to school board trustees on Tuesday.
Giscome parent advisory council member Denise MacDonald outlined several reasons in support of the idea starting with the availability of two lots at no cost to the school district - one from the regional district and one from the Willow River Recreation Association.
