Stolen items are now out on the black market after a break-and-enter in the 2100 block of Ross Crescent.

Police were called to the home on Sunday at about 3:30 p.m. when a concerned member of the public reported a suspicious occurrence.

"An officer attended and found the front door to the residence was damaged," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "A number of items valued at over $10,000 were taken from the residence."

The stolen items include:

- Black Dell (stand alone) computer with a 17-inch monitor;

- Canon camera with lenses;

- Substantial amount of jewelry;

"The break-and-enter occurred sometime in the last two weeks, as the home owner was out of town," said Douglass, appealing to the public for information that might heat up the investigation.

"The Prince George RCMP would like to remind residents to take extra precautions before going away for extended periods of time," Douglass added.

Ensure someone checks on your property or have someone stay in your residence;

Use light timers to help make the appearance that you are home;

In the winter, arrange to have someone remove fresh snow from your driveway;

When you are travelling by car, ask a neighbor to park in your driveway.
