The team of Prince George MLAs kept their winning streak alive this past weekend, with Shirley Bond and Mike Morris taking the top prize at the Great Northern Chili Cook-Off.
Hosted by the Prince George Community Arts Council and P.G. Potters Guild, the 37th annual event pitted eight teams against each other to see whose chili reigned supreme with record attendance.
The local MLA team captured first place for the second year in a row, narrowly beating out the Crossroads recipe served up by CFIS 93.1 FM. Hot on their heels for third place was the chili and mini-corn bread concoction of the Jim Pattison Group.
New to the group, the 2015 Canada Winter Games team proved to be a strong future contender coming in fourth.
