Officials began counting absentee and special ballots Monday for all 85 ridings, a process which can take up to three days to complete.

By the end of Monday's counting, Bond had added 345 votes to her total in Prince George-Valemount, bringing her total to 10,508 - good for 57.6 per cent of the ballots counted so far. Runner-up Sherry Ogasawara of the NDP added 255 votes to her total, giving her 6,449 (35.3 per cent). Conservative candidate Nathan Giede cracked the thousand vote mark on Monday, adding 28 votes to 1,015 (5.6 per cent) and Christian Heritage party candidate Donald Roberts added 10 votes to 286 (1.6 per cent).

In Prince George-Mackenzie, Mike Morris increased his total to 9,674, an increase of 344 votes. The rookie MLA-elect is now listed with 55.5 per cent of the vote. Elections BC has listed the votes for some ridings complete, but said the count in both Prince George ridings remains in progress.
