Body identified as Prince George man

The body of Bao Tien Cao of Prince George was discovered Friday, June 18, in a ditch in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.

The body of Bao Tien Cao of Prince George was discovered Friday, June 18, in a ditch in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.

The 28-year-old, determined by an autopsy to be a victim of homicide, was found in a ditch along Range Road, north of Township Road 552, said RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith, media communications officer with the Prince George detachment. The cause of death is not being released at this time,

Cao, who was last been seen alive on June 16, is said to have been visiting family members in the Edmonton area was a Prince George resident.

The investigation is being conducted by the 'K' Division Major Crime Unit from Edmonton with the assistance of members from the Fort Saskatchewan detachment.

Prince George RCMP were advised of the investigation and will assist if requested by the Edmonton Major Crime Unit, said Smith.
