Big Blue Ball a great big success
Once again the Big Blue Ball, hosted by the Rotary Club of Prince George on Nov. 12 at the Coast Inn of the North, raised more than $50,000 which will continue to support community projects focused on men's health.
The fifth annual event featured a roaming dinner with craft beer pairings from B.C.-based micro breweries, a silent auction, and musical entertainment provided by local band, Pink Champagne.
Funds raised during the event and those previous totaling $250,000 continue go to programs including the men's emergency shelter wing of Ketso Yoh, Men's Health Days where more than 200 men are in attendance at each event, and the successful Prince George Prostate Cancer Support Group.
