The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) has signed an agreement with Eurest Dining - a division of Compass Group Canada - to operate a BG Urban Cafe in the existing restaurant and lounge space of the terminal.
Construction is set to begin in mid-January 2012, the PGAA said in a press release, and it will occur over a six to eight week period. Renovations will occur in stages, so that the restaurant will never be completely closed to customers.
There are a dozen BG Urban Cafes in the province, two of them in airports. They're described as a "European culinary experience that is focused on innovative meal creations."
The bar and lounge area will re-open with a new look, in addition to the opening of a new retail space that will offer customers newspapers, magazines and sundries.
