A jury was selected Friday for a trial for a man facing 13 charges from an alleged 2010 crime spree said to have started in Prince George and ended on a forest service road near Vanderhoof following a police manhunt.
Chad Douglas Berry, 29, is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault, unlawful confinement, aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon allegedly involving three women over March 11 and 12.
Berry is also accused of theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, mischief $5,000 or under, two counts of break and enter to commit an indictable offence and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The matter had gone to trial before a provincial court judge in January 2011 but was eventually canceled in favour of a jury trial in B.C. Supreme Court with Justice Glen Parrett presiding.
The trial is expected to take two to three weeks.
