Today at noon, the B.C. Civil Liberties Association will be at the Prince George Civic Centre for a public discussion about the people who have died while in police custody. There are several examples used from around the Prince George region in a new report just released by the BCCLA.

"Professor David MacAlister (the report's author) will be speaking with BCCLA executive director David Eby on the report, which found that B.C. has Canada's highest provincial rates of in-custody and police-involved deaths, and which takes lessons from other jurisdictions on how B.C. should structure our new Independent Investigation Office," said a written statement from the provincial watchdog organization.

Anyone interested is invited to attend.
