B.C. police officers intervene in sexual assault while on vacation in Hawaii

A B.C. police chief says two of his officers intervened in a sexual assault while on vacation in Hawaii.

Victoria Police Chief Del Manak said via Twitter that the officers had gone for a run in a park in Kona when they heard a woman screaming, and rushed to help.

A suspect has been charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.

Manak reacted by tweeting “#proudchief” and “#servicebeforeself.”
