BC Coroners Service confirms identity of driver

PRINCE GEORGE - The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a

male who died following a motor-vehicle incident near Granisle on Jan.

14, 2013.

He was John George, aged 57, of Granisle.

Mr. George was the driver and sole occupant of a southbound pickup truck

that was in a collision with a northbound logging truck on Highway 118

about 12 km south of Granisle, at about 9:40 a.m. on Jan. 14. Mr. George

was deceased at the scene.

The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. George has been notified of his death. On behalf of

family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their

privacy at this difficult time.
