Grade 11 students at Prince George Secondary School will be able to earn credits towards graduation by taking a course on baseball.
School district trustees approved the four-credit, 120-hour course on Tuesday following a presentation from teachers Jasen Florell and Joe Flaval who developed the program.
To be open to both experienced and inexperienced players, it will consist of both in-class and on-field instruction. Students will learn about such aspects as how the game is played differently around the world and the finer points they may not see on television.
