An arrest has been made in Tuesday's bank robbery in College Heights.

Police responded to a hold up alarm shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, after a single man entered TD Canada Trust on Domano Boulevard wearing a mask and produced what appeared to be a hand gun.

He demanded money and fled the scene on foot.

Prince George RCMP, with the assistance of the police dog service and the North District Emergency Response Team, searched the area.

At around 5:40 p.m., a 31-year-old Smithers man was found and arrested in a wooded area off O'Grady Road.

Evidence, including an airsoft pistol, vehicle and the stolen cash were recovered.

According to police, the suspect has no history with police and is expected to make his first appearance in court today.
