A man has turned himself in to police following a public callout for help identifying a suspect in a bait car theft.
According to the Prince George RCMP, a man identified himself at the local detachment as the person in the circulated surveillance image "within a few hours" of the photo going public.
The police put out the request for assistance Tuesday in regards to a Dec. 31 theft from a vehicle parked off of Domano Boulevard.
"Almost immediately after releasing an image of the suspect in a bait car, investigators began receiving multiple tips identifying possible suspects," said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass in a statement.
