West Coast Amusements will be holding a midway in the CN Centre parking lot Friday to Sunday. Lots of rides, games, and food.

Gen Kelsang Delek is a western Buddhist nun who has been teaching and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for almost 20 years. She will be at ArtSpace Friday at 7 p.m. to discuss the book The New Meditation Handbook by Geshe Kesland Gyatso. Delek is a resident teacher at Tilopa Buddhist Canter in Vancouver.

Stef Lang and her band, based out of Vancouver, will be performing at the Riverstone Bar and Grill Thursday night.

The stars have aligned to provide the ultimate in local entertainment. Youth who took the top spots in the Prince George Dance Festival, the Prince George and District Music Festival and the Prince George Speech Arts and Drama Festival will showcase their talents under one roof for one evening only. Northern Stars will perform May 13 at the Prince George Playhouse at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation. This event is a fundraiser for scholarships for $500 each presented to a participant of the festivals who will be traveling to the upcoming provincials.

Elvis is in the building at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Morris Bates - Elvis impersonator - born and raised in the Williams Lake area - will perform and introduce his new book Take a Chance on Life, which is filled with photos and stories of his adventures on the road and in Vegas as the king of rock and roll.

That's Entertainment is presented by the Bel Canto Choirs Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at UNBC Canfor Theatre. Tickets are $15 at Studio 2880 or the door.

Meat Loaf will entertain Prince George at CN Centre Aug. 4 at 7:30. Lisa Bouchelle will open the concert. The legendary rocker, otherwise known as Michael Lee Aday, has been entertaining audiences for more than three decades and has just released his new album Hang Cool Teddy Bear.
