Arson is suspected in an early-morning townhouse fire on Sunday.
Prince George Fire Rescue crews were called to a condominium complex in the 100 block of North Tabor Boulevard at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday and upon arrival saw heavy smoke billowing out of one of the units.
Eleven firefighters and three fire vehicles responded to the call and their rapid attack of the fire and use of fan pressurization prevented the blaze from spreading to the rest of the complex.
Damage is estimated at $100,000. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians reported.
“The cause of this fire is currently under investigation but suspicious n nature,” said PGFR assistant chief Jim Clemas, in a prepared release.
